Media Submission Guidelines

To keep our marketing consistent, professional, and aligned with our Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Policy, all photos and video for specials, events, and promotions must follow these rules. These standards apply across all locations: McFilerโ€™s (Chehalis), The Hub (Centralia), and the Chehalis Theater.


How to Submit

  • Submission Method:
    1. Email all media to: lisa@mcfilers.com
    2. No texts, DMs/Messenger, or verbal hand-offs will be accepted.
  • Point of Contact / Event Organizer:
    1. Lisa Murphy (Event Organizer) โ€” primary reviewer and approver.

Accepted Formats

  • Photos: JPEG or PNG, min 1080ร—1920 (higher is better)
  • Videos: MP4 preferred, max 60 seconds
  • Orientation (Videos): Vertical/portrait required
  • File Naming:
    1. `location_eventname_YYYYMMDD_asset.ext`
    2. Examples:
      1. `hub_oktoberfest_20251023_poster.jpg`
      2. `theater_queen-tribute_20251108_teaser.mp4`
      3. `mcfilers_fall-cocktails_20251030_reel.mp4`

Deadlines

  • Events (posters/videos/social): Submit โ‰ฅ 2 weeks before the event date.
  • Food/Drink Specials: Submit โ‰ฅ 5 days before launch.
  • Late submissions may not be promoted.

Content Standards (Code of Conduct Aligned)

  • Represent our venues as safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces.
  • No discriminatory, harassing, or offensive language/imagery.
  • Keep scenes clean and guest-ready (tables wiped, tidy bar, correct glassware/plating).
  • Highlight food, drinks, staff, or performers positively; get permission for identifiable close-ups.
  • Avoid profanity, unsafe behavior, or depictions of over-service.

Review & Approval

  • Initial Review: Lisa Murphy reviews for branding, compliance, and quality.
  • Edits: Submissions may be cropped, color-corrected, captioned, or resized for platforms.
  • Scheduling: Approved assets are added to the social/web calendar; timing at Marketingโ€™s discretion.

Quality Tips

  • Use natural light; avoid harsh overheads.
  • Vertical framing with headroom for text overlays.
  • Focus on the subject; clear backgrounds; wipe glassware/plates.
  • Capture both hero shots (staged) and candid moments (guests/staff, with permission).
  • For drinks: fresh garnish, no fingerprints on glass, correct ice and glassware.
